If you’ve ever been to Luskentyre Beach, you’ll know it doesn’t feel real. White sands, turquoise water, and mountain backdrops that look like they belong somewhere far warmer than the Outer Hebrides.
We brought the kayaks out here early in the day — no crowds, just calm water and that glassy light that Harris does so well. The clarity of the water is unreal; you can see every ripple of sand beneath you. It’s one of those places where even if you’re not doing much, just being there feels like a privilege.
