Every now and then, everything lines up — the weather, the light, the timing.
This was one of those moments.
After a stretch of unpredictable skies and passing showers, the clouds finally broke over Seilebost Beach, revealing a full rainbow arching across the bay. The golden light caught the sand and the water in a way that made the whole scene feel otherworldly.
It’s easily one of my favourite images from the trip. The Outer Hebrides have a habit of throwing these moments at you when you least expect them — a quick change in light, and suddenly you’re in the middle of something spectacular.
There’s no rush here. Just the sound of the waves, a bit of wind, and the reminder that sometimes you just have to stop the van, grab the camera, and take it in.
